DIY Products to cut down on vibrational noise from electronic drums

Neighbors still complaining about your electric drums?

Check out these affordable DIY solutions for cutting down vibrations from electronic drum kits.

  • Tennis ball beater These beaters can reduce bass drum noise by 50–75%, while also minimizing vibration transfer from the kick to the floor.
  • Mini Tennis Balls – Cut them in half and hot glue them to the bottom of your pedal’s base plates. It's a DIY version of Roland’s Noise Eater pedals at a fraction of the price.
  • Washer / Dryer Anti-Vibrational Pads – Place these under drum racks or bass drum spurs to reduce floor-transmitted vibrations.
